I am an independent public historian who has most recently written histories of national battlefield parks (Manassas, Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania, Minute Man, and Fort Stanwix) for the National Park Service. I am currently working on a National Historic Landmark nomination for the house built for Dr. Frieda Fromm-Reichmann, the famed psychiatrist whose work became popularly known in the novel .
